I am honored to be a student of Nihon Buyo and to be recognized as a Natori from the Onoe Ryu school of dance, thanks to the esteemed teachings of Shihan Onoe Kikuyuki. I have performed on stages in both the United States and Japan, including the renowned NHK stage. Holding Natori signifies my dedication towards deeply studying this art form and upholding cherished traditions of my lineage. I am also a member of the Kikuyuki no Kai Dance Troupe.
Student of Sacred Dance
Ise Jingu, Japan
I had the privilege of studying sacred dance at Ise Jingu, the most sacred space related to Japanese shintoism and the root of classical dance in Japan.
Modern research dates Ise Jingu back to the 4th century, and some structures may have been erected as much as a century earlier. The significance of Ise Jingu stems from the enshrinement of Amaterasu Omikami and its connection with the mythical origin of the Japan. As the deity likened to the sun, she is the supreme deity of Shinto.
Digital Designer
I am an award-winning digital designer with extensive experience in creating innovative web and app designs. As a senior director of user experience for a Fortune 500 company, I have successfully led teams and delivered impactful projects. I am passionate about design and have had the privilege of sharing my insights at various digital design conferences.
Martial Artist
I hold a second degree black belt in Okinawan Kempo Karate and am a black belt and student of Ten Shin Ichi Ryu Iaido. I have organized and participated in demonstrations in the United States and Japan. I've also organized tours of Japan for TSIR students and friends from other schools of martial arts.
